KAYLA
NICOLE
Model · Sports Journalist · Entrepreneur · Brand Ambassador
Kayla Nicole was born Kayla Brown on November 2, 1991, in Los Angeles, California. A natural communicator from an early age, she pursued her passion at Pepperdine University, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Her career began at the Malibu Surfside News before her love of sport propelled her into television. As an on-air host at Lakers TV and reporter for Barstool Sports and ESPN, she became a recognisable voice covering the NBA and NFL with charisma and intelligence.
Beyond journalism, Kayla carved out a powerful presence in fashion and brand partnerships — working with Savage X Fenty, Fabletics, Revolve and Crocs. Her entrepreneurial instinct led her to found Tribe Therepe, a fitness brand that fuses physical training with mental health awareness.
Kayla uses her platform to champion empowerment — particularly for Black women — and to push back against online negativity. As of 2024, her estimated net worth stands at approximately $2 million, a reflection of her multi-faceted career across media, modelling and business.
Kayla Nicole represents a new generation of media personalities who refuse to be defined by any single label. Journalist, model, entrepreneur and advocate — she continues to inspire through her commitment to mental health, female empowerment and authentic storytelling.
